Cloudy2Clear are the original Failed Double Glazing Replacement Company…Changing The Panes Not The Frames!

The Cloudy2Clear Franchise network was launched in 2005 after the founders of the business recognized that there was a huge gap in the market for a company that:

  • Saves its customers money
  • Operate in an ethical manner
  • Provides a service that enables its customers to avoid dealing with the dreaded double glazing salesman
  • Franchisees focus primarily on replacing failed double glazed units…C2C have no interest in up-selling to its customers
  • Do NOT employ salesmen

The glazing industry seemed ripe for such an approach. With customers completely lost or simply nervous when requiring any type of window work done the idea of a company that dealt with it’s customers in an upfront and honest manner proved very attractive to the public.

Due to the extremely high demand for the service the original C2C pilot operation became successful very quickly, and it was at this point that the head office management team decided to offer the opportunity to Franchisees all over the UK.

Franchising – Our Ethos

The Directors decided that franchising was the perfect way to communicate the benefits of their money saving service to the public for a number of reasons:

  • 70% of franchises make a profit bucking the recessionary trend seen in other industries (Source: BFA/Natwest Survey 2010)
  • Franchisees are far more customer care focused and dedicated to their businesses than employees, thus having a naturally positive impact on the public
  • Following a proven and successful business strategy with the full support of the C2C management team means that by applying themselves to the system franchisees can’t go wrong

Whilst all the above are true, the company was concerned from the outset that the principles of the organization should run throughout the network. This didn’t just mean that new franchisees were trained to deal with their customers in an open and honest fashion but also that the franchise was set up in such a way too. Consequently Cloudy2Clear have a very strong business ethos:

  • That the C2C Franchise should be reliant on it’s income from the success of it’s Franchisees, not from Franchise fees
  • That prospective Franchisees should be chosen on ability, not on the size of their wallet
  • That the C2C Franchise should be a sales & marketing organization which concentrated on helping it’s franchisees get as much business as possible not one which tied them into certain suppliers and made a cut of the profits
  • That franchisees should be kept fully informed and regular company meetings held to enable ‘best practice’ to accelerate the growth of the network not sold a territory and left to themselves!
  • That Franchisees should be encouraged and taught to make as much PROFIT as possible, not just turnover. This means that together we build a large network as quickly as possible of stable, profitable businesses.

We believe strongly in our company ethos and it’s why we believe our network is growing at a rapid rate. Put frankly, there’s nothing that helps a franchise grow more than successful franchisees and here at Cloudy2Clear that’s exactly what we have!
